Ken Marsh

 

   Coach Ken Marsh has been the Head Lacrosse Coach at Ridge High School for the past 9 seasons. During that time his teams have been won 4 conference championships in the Kimber, Waterman, and Skyland Divisions. Ridge has made the playoffs six out of the past eight years. In 2006 and 2007 his team has made the Group III State Semi-Finals and the Somerset County Finals. During the 2007 season Ken was named the Courier News Lacrosse Coach of the Year. In 2006 Ken was honored as the NFHS, New Jersey Chapter (National Federation of High Schools), and the NJSIAA (New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association) Lacrosse Coach of the year. In 2005 he was also named the Waterman Division Coach of the Year. In Coach Marsh's six seasons at Ridge the team's overall record is 108-69. Previous lacrosse coaching stops include four years at Mendham High School and one year at Westfield High School.

Coach Marsh played college lacrosse at Kean College in New Jersey. During his time at Kean he was a three-time All Knickerbocker Conference defenseman. During his senior year Ken was voted an alternate member of the national senior all-star game. In 1994 Marsh was honored by The Star Ledger as a first team member of the New Jersey all collegiate lacrosse team. Coach Marsh played his college lacrosse under New Jersey Hall of Fame Coach Hawley Waterman. In high school Coach Marsh played at Westfield where his team played in the state championship his sophomore year. Ken lives in Chester with his wife Jen and two sons, Kenny and Jake.
